Just for the record...

If you are wondering, here's a bit of history on the formation of
SHARE ~ The Homeschool Support Network.

In the year 2000 we began enrichment day. Families coming together to share time and knowledge with our children. We had and still have a great variety of activities for our children to choose from and to participate in at E~Day. We are a Christian organization. Some areas of enrichment have included: disection, physical education, safety, arts, history, cooking, government, debate, gymnastics, drama, sign language, dance, and much, much more. E~Day runs for two 10 week sessions one in the fall and another in the winter/spring. E~Day has been a great help for learning together in group settings. We enjoy field trips that spin from things we are learning. During our 10 week sessions we are able to keep our group activities focused on one day a week instead of running every day to different locations for homeschool enrichment. We do most of our planning for fieldtrips, group activities, meetings, etc. while we are in attendance on Monday at E~Day. Thus, less time away from family, home and our regular/core academic studies.

While at E~Day students and parents alike form lasting friendships. The day begins with a 15 minute assembly and then 3 enrichment hours, a lunch break, the last 2 hours, then ending our day. During this time of great learning together, we have grown to form friends and fellowship... thus, our Support Network! We all naturally, without even realizing, were supporting one another and working together in our homeschooling efforts, just as a homeschool support group should. This all came about with God's guidance and orchestration. He was making this plan knowing the need for a Christian gathering place for homeschool families here in Catawba County for support and encouragement. When He calls us to do something, He takes care of all provisions needed to set the plan in action. We are thankful to be on His team and to come together in His Name for His blessings in the furtherment of this Homeschool Support Network.

Though E~Day and SHARE overlap together in some of the activities, you do not have to participate in both. You have the option and choice for either or both of these groups. Event details, calendar, activity breakdown, and contact information for our SHARE events are available at our online membership group e~mail loop. Once you become a member of SHARE or EDay, your email will be added to the appropriate weblinks. You will have all the details at your fingertips! This is a safe and secure way to share information as to our activities. We welcome Catawba and surrounding county homeschool families! Our registration paperwork requests adherence to our Statement of Faith, as listed below.

Our Statement of Faith

"We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, to be the sole authority for faith and life, inerrant in the original writings, infallible and God breathed. God, the Creator of heaven and earth, has existed from all eternity in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ was God come to earth in human form being fully God and fully man, born of the Virgin Mary, except without sin. Our salvation and the forgiveness of sins come only through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement for our sins at the cross. After His death on the cross, CHrist bodily rose from the dead and ascended to sit at the right hand of God the Father, where He reigns until one day returns to establish His Kingdom on earth.
